Located in Jaya Prakashnarayan Nagar, Bangalore, India, the little garden in private house designed by GRCA offers an elegant and peaceful living arrangement. The front side of the house plays with little garden and a paved terrain. The upper part of the terrain is used to plants decorative plants while the lower part is functioned as the entrance path. From the outside, the house utilizes modest combination of white and grey painting in the exterior wall.
The private house interior is dominated by wood. Wood panels are used to cover the wall, floor, as well as the hanging lamp. At the entrance hall, you’ll be greeted by the wood decorations which also serve as room separator. It is made of wood slats and small ball located in the middle of each plate. The living room’s interior shows a perfect combination of green couch and laminated wood floor. Besides, it is also completed by the presence of wall-integrated bookshelf made out of glass.
The living room’s wall is covered by timber slats; the uneven color of each piece of wood shows the art of designing the house. The wood is also used to cover the support column since the column is large enough, giving a spacious area of creativity. The wood, however, is not used to cover the column’s entire surface. Instead, several part of the column is not covered, creating pretty geometric pattern.
In terms of decoration, the house utilizes flower painting attached in the support column in order to give lively atmosphere. It also has large black plus white paintings of swan attached in the wall of the living room. Family photo can also be a great decoration for the room, too. The uneven arrangement of picture frames gives artistic impression upon the room. If we move to the second story, we can see even more paintings enlightened by wall lamps. Such private house interior design has added the value of comfortable living.
